Computing Support Specialist
• Supported MacOS, Windows, and Linux machines in the department. Diagnosed and solved hardware and software problems on machines for faculty and staff. Performed OS and software updates on the machines. Deployed and set up computers and TVs for faculty and staff. Tested and determined which technology and devices should be used by the department.
• Systems administration in areas regarding virtualization using KVM on RHEL 7, storage management such as RAID, firewall using iptables to manage traffic between VMs and the internet, and setting up servers for using virtualization.
• Software development for web projects, created web pages for various projects such as a video streaming, cable management, and other sites using PHP, HTML, and CSS for frontend/backend development, MySQL for the database and Apache. Also assisted in setting Apache proxy to connect VMs.
• Setup software on servers such as MacOS remote desktop using AquaConnect, and a fax server (incoming/outgoing) using hylafax for department use.
IT Manager
• Headed the IT department of GICA (GIU International Christian Academy)
• Setup computer lab equipment such as: new computers, server rack, and new routers and switches to connect everything to AD DS
• Set up Active Directory Domain Server using Windows Server 2016
• Set up imaging server using FOG (Free Open-source Ghost) project using Ubuntu
• Used dnsmasq to allow computers to netboot from iPXE server for image capture
• Coded easy to use program for adding bulk users to database and AD DS using C# and MySQL
